  A relative newcomer, having debuted in 2003, Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been successful for ABC, which, until then, had searched for a counterpoint to David Letterman and Jay Leno. The format is traditional, but the comedy is geared to a younger, male demographic. This is most likely due to Kimmel’s fans from Comedy Central, where he created and hosted The Man Show and Win Ben Stein’s Money, both notorious for their locker room tone.
